Try the shipbuilding industry, there are many marine design engineers that are in search of work. Where are you and how fast do you need it? Try the boat shows in your area.

In ur case I'd suggest what u really need is an interior designer. Yacht (marine architects) designers r very good with hulls & general layouts, but interiors not there forte'. If u r thinking of moving bulkheads, I'd advise against it. The structure of the hull is not like a house, it is designed to give strength to the over all integrity of the hull. Bayliner introduced interior designers to the boating industry in a big way in the 1980's. Quickly adopted by everyone else. Check ur local phone book for local listings, & be sure u ask it they have done boats. Only a few boats undertake changes like this, mostly upgrading the lounge or galley. Good luck!
