l have a ten foot jon boat and l need to know where l can find a cheap boat motor for it at? a trolling motor is not enough power so l need a 5 or less Horse Power motor. l wanna spend around 300 dollars and of course its ok for it to be a used one.. any ideas for where l should look?

You can usually find a ton of small outboards on there.

First of all a 5 HP motor is not a whole lot better than a big trolling motor.

The best place to find a cheap 5HP motor is to find an 80 year old man that has one laying around his garage.

l bought an old Johnson (1946) 5 HP on E-Bay for $100.00 including shipping. Cranks and runs good.

Hands down, Craigslist.org is the place for you to look. l have bought and sold several outboard engines there and found it to be a great place to look for outboard engines.
