We took it out for maybe its third run. We forgot to close the water plugs at the back and as soon as we got out on the water, it was heavy in the water. We closed the plugs and tried to drive it around so the pump could get the water out but it did not improve. We shut it off to check to make sure there was not debris caught in the intake. It was fine. When we went to turn it back on it would turn over but it would never start. Surely we're not the first and only idiots to forget to plug the drains? Surely Yamaha is can not be broken from such a simple error? l took it to the shop, but the guy is backed up 2 1/2 weeks before he can look at it. Anyone know if this is a simple fix, and can leaving my drain plugs open void my warranty?

answering ur last question first.it should not void ur warranty but reading the actual warranty should answer that question for you.

it could be a simple fix but time will tell. have u dried the spark plugs? yes, they can get wet & this sounds like it might be ur problem. back them out, dry them off, put them back in & give it a try. if successful it is great but if not keep the appt open with the shop & let them look into it for you.

Well first basics is it unlocked fro the remote. 2 Is the lanyard in.3 Try putting it on the trailor for a couple of seconds and REALLY REALLY RELLY quick turn it on and throttle it a couple of times, butmake sure you do this quickly or else you will burn up the engine.
