How large a boat? Power or sail? What extra appliances and how much time per day to run them? What load factors are involved with the appliances? Under way or anchored or in a slip?
l think these need to be resolved before any suggestions would be of value. You could be talking everything from a small portable Honda gas generator to a built in Onan diesel.

Onans and Westerbeke are at the top of the marine world. But as was already stated you need to know what all you want to run; AC unit lights Large refer TV Stereo Battery Charger so on and so on!Do not run a portable. It must be Plumed in for marine use!

depends what you want to run from the genie, add up all the amps you will need, then add a good few thousand for upgrades that you may need in the future, eg a crane
