Ok, the wiring on the motor and in the boat is totaly shot. Am l able to buy all the wires separatly and rewire or do l need to buy the appropriate wire harness for the motor. l am trying to save money and finding a harness for that old of a motor might be difucult.

save some trouble down the line see if you can do the job right with out the harness. if not it would be wise to look hard for the harness first.done right the first time it wo not need a second look and you wo not have any doubts.
