I dont understand why my pontoon boat is not getting any gas to the motor.

l can think of a few reasons why u r not getting any fuel to the motor. 1: u have a bad fuel pump, 2: if ur motor does not have a fuel pump, then u r not getting enough suction on the intake stroke to pull in the air & fuel in this case u probably have a cracked head gasket or even a hole in the motor, 3: ur intake vavles r not opening due to a rounded off cam lift on the cam shaft, 4: u have a hole in ur gas tank or fuel line. Either way u should get it checked out by a boat mechanic. Hope this info is helpful.

l know this sounds obvious but is you fuel line connected correctly , ie if you have a primer bulb in the line it only works one way.

Not getting TO the motor, or INTO?

Be sure (as said already) primer bulb is the right way, tank vent is open, & tank pickups r not blocked. Prime the bulb & depress the ball valve at the hose connector, fuel should spurt out (use caution).

If that is not the problem. u have either a bad fuel pump, or stuck needle & seat in the carb(s). Remove the fuel line from the carb inlet, crank the motor a couple of times & see if the fuel pulses. You may have a ''pulse line'' (will be a third hose) on the pump where it gets vacuum, be sure that is good, & not kinked.

If all that is good, trouble will be in the carb(s). Pull the drain plugs in the bottom of the bowls, crank engine over & check for fuel.
